About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year Open Heart, Vascular & Thoracic experience required License: Current nursing license required, if applicable Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA certification required Must-Have: COVID-19 vaccination and booster required, no exemptions Description: The CVOR Tech will provide surgical support in a cardiovascular operating room setting. Experience with Open Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures is essential. The tech will assist with various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, aortic aneurysm repair, angioplasty/stenting, and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). The position requires proficiency in aseptic technique, sterilization, and disinfection. Familiarity with specialized surgical equipment is necessary. The tech will be responsible for patient safety protocols and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures. This position includes an on-call requirement of 1 overnight shift per week and every third full weekend. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively within a team and adhere to established protocols. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are expected. Candidates should be comfortable with electronic charting systems. This role will involve working with adult and geriatric patient populations. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care.
