Job Duties
- Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and design personalized therapy strategies that support their functional aspirations
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based strategies to boost patients' motor abilities, cognitive function, and daily activities
- Collaborate with Multi-disciplinary Teams: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive and holistic healthcare
- Educate Patients and Caregivers: Train patients and their families on necessary therapy techniques, ensuring progress continues off-site
- Track Progress and Adjust as Needed: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans to keep patients on their path to recovery
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Encouraged to pursue ongoing education or post-graduate certifications
Certifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification necessary
