JB029 - Executive Live-out Housekeeper / Family Cook - Long Island, NY

Overview

Family of five seeking an experienced, polished, and highly trustworthy Executive Housekeeper / Family Cook to oversee the daily upkeep and organization of our private residence. The ideal candidate is proactive, discreet, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a family environment with young children. Prior experience working in large private homes is required. 

The family includes three daughters, ages 2, 4, and 6. The family also has a small dog. The Father works outside of the home and the Mother is the primary caretaker but role will assist with childcare as needed. This role is 60% housekeeper and 40% nanny. The family has a weekly deep cleaner as well. The family lives in an 8,000 sq. ft. home with 5 main bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. There is a separate private bedroom and attached bathroom for a live-in candidate. 

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Management

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of a large private residence to exceptionally high standards
• Perform detailed daily housekeeping, including deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, linen care, and wardrobe organization
• Oversee household supplies and inventory management
• Ensure all rooms, common areas, kitchens, and bathrooms are consistently guest-ready
• Assist with household organization projects and seasonal rotations

Family Cooking

• Prepare healthy, family-style meals and snacks 
• Plan simple weekly menus and grocery lists
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and pantry
• Accommodate children’s schedules, preferences, and dietary needs when applicable

Family Support

• Help maintain smooth daily household operations
• Errands and grocery shopping when needed 
• While the family has a separate full-time nanny, we would appreciate someone who is comfortable occasionally helping supervise the children to helping with routines when needed 

Requirements

• Vaccinations up to date • A respectful and discreet disposition• At least 5 years previous experience in a similar role• Comfortable around dogs• Licensed driver with a clean driving record

Salary and Benefits

• $80k-110k
• 2 weeks vacations
