Maintenance Mechanic

Weekend Maintenance MechanicStarting rate: $36.70 per hourThe schedule for the Weekend Maintenance Mechanic will be:Saturday - Monday with alternating Fridays12-hour shifts, 6pm - 6am OR 6am - 6pm (shifts do not rotate)Shift premium: up to $1.50 per hourJob Duties:Maintain and repair all plant equipment and facilities in a way that achieves customer satisfaction in support of the manufacturing of Kibbles 'n BitsReview work orders to ensure materials are available and develop manpower and scheduling estimates. Initiate work orders when work cannot be performed immediatelyPerform preventative maintenance and inspection functions and take the initiative to ensure these programs are modified and updated as neededMaintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safetyQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facilitiesProven commitment to safety, quality, and reliable performanceAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentReliable attendance requiredFood manufacturing experience preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs and ladders, reach, bend, stoop, squat, and perform repetitive manual tasks. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 65 lbs and push or pull up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
