Outside Sales Representative

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales by visiting assigned independent stores to present and sell products, secure new item authorization, sell promotional displays, and support merchandising needs. This role involves entering turnover orders for all stores visited and assisting with special events such as demos, remodels, new store openings, and anniversary sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build strong relationships with store leadership and client partners.

What will you do?

• Visit assigned stores in the territory monthly to execute sales and merchandising priorities.
• Present new items to store buyers and secure orders for the same.
• Sell in promotional activities and, when possible, secure off-shelf displays.
• Verify product distribution and ensure authorized items are carried and properly merchandised.
• Enter turnover orders into the system after store visits to ensure product delivery by distributors.
• Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking, rotation, display maintenance, pricing, and planogram adherence.
• Support special projects, including demos, trade events, remodels, and new store openings.
• Maintain current knowledge of all products and new items.
• Build rapport with regional managers of clients and communicate store issues, competitive insights, and trends to leadership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including date code checks and planogram compliance.

Experience and Qualifications :

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 5+ years of prior retail experience required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive long distances.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel (meetings/food shows).
• Comfortable using tools such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and basic office equipment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements :

• Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp, stand, and lift up to 60 lbs daily.
• Ability to drive for extended periods and stay overnight as required.
• Ability to speak, hear, and communicate effectively.
