Wieland is hiring a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the quality system to maintain the company's registered certification, to enhance the continuous process and to increase customer satisfaction at both Warwick, RI and Waterbury, CT locations. The role located in Warwick, RI and will be fully on-site.

Base Salary Range: $66,551-$84,006

May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Responsibilities

Quality Manager Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate "Safety Excellence" by complying with all safety and rules/processes and supporting the Safety Elements; contribute to the overall Safety culture of the organization.
• Maintain the ISO quality system and meet customer Automotive and Electronic requirements through various initiatives including training and updating to ensure compliance.
• Prepare annual Strategic Quality Plan to document and communicate current objectives within each department related to quality, on-time performance and overall customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with customers on ongoing quality or improvement issues to assist customer in elimination actual or perceived problems, reduce customer cost, and improve customer perception on our product reliability.
• Lead management team in identifying root cause of customer complaints, verify and implement corrective action to eliminate recurring customer complaint and reduce the cost of non-conformance.
• Represent Wieland Global Services (WGS) with competency from a technical/quality standpoint in dealing with customers (internal and external), suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare Quality Reports, Work Instructions, SOP drafts, visual aids, and other quality-related documentation as required.
• Utilize problem-solving concepts, principles, and tools such as A3/8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa diagram, etc. to lead root cause investigations and determine effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Other related duties as required in support of the WMS QMS and business goals/objectives.

Qualifications

Quality Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of Quality Management experience.
• ISO/QS experience.
• Experience in metallurgy and/or technical training.
• Provide leadership and guidance of Laboratory Technicians and Quality Coordinator.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of metal industry preferred.
