At Elara Caring, our Physical Therapist Assistants provide high-quality care in patients' homes. Youll support the Physical Therapist in implementing care plans and delivering therapy services in accordance with state practice guidelines and physician orders.

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Performs direct physical therapy services following the Plan of Care and under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care according to physician's orders and assessment data.
• Instructs patients and families in safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Teaches home exercise programs and safety practices to patients and caregivers.
• Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines and verifies the Plan of Care before each visit.
• Participates in patient care goal setting and documentation of patient progress.
• May work in a physically demanding environment including lifting and transferring patients.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license in the state of employment.
• At least 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and insurance as required by state law.
• Willingness to travel within branch coverage area (up to 50%).
• Able to lift 50-100 lbs. and perform frequent standing, bending, and movement activities.
