Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a valid CA license and prior travel nursing experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Utilizes an electronic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central and arterial line management, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Skilled in ABG interpretation, CVP monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade administration
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct ICU-level care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and complex interventions
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for the local rate; otherwise travel rate applies
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate
• Returning staff or travelers must have a one-year separation before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers may be considered if travel experience requirement is met
