Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring night shift availability, Epic EMR proficiency, and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with potential adjustments based on unit need
• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those with higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, AFib, and post-cardiac catheterization cases
• Step-down level care from ICU; no ventilator or vasopressor support
• Drips managed on unit include heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring is a core component of patient care
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs
• Epic EMR used; minimum 1 year of experience required

Requirements

• Active TN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or comparable unit experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this night shift Med/Surg Tele position; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
• Floating is performed only to units for which the nurse has demonstrated and documented competencies
