About the Position

Registered Nurse – Special Care Nursery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 hours per week | Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:15 PM–7:15 AM) | Every other weekend and rotating holidays required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Special Care Nursery setting
• Monitor and assess the condition of newborns requiring specialized medical attention
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days and nights, based on department needs
• Availability to work every other weekend and rotating holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Prior experience in a Level II or Level III NICU environment
