This individual ensures that departmental operations comply with organizational policies, professional practice standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements. The Imaging Manager is responsible for maintaining minimum standards established by organizations and regulatory agencies including the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Ohio Department of Health, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, American College of Radiology, and The Joint Commission. This leader promotes a culture of intensive caring through positive patient and guest relations, effective staff interactions, employee development, and the establishment and achievement of departmental goals. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of assigned imaging departments. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and professional practice standards. Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections, surveys, and accreditation requirements. Support compliance with ASRT, ARRT, ODH, ARDMS, NMTCB, ACR, Joint Commission, and other applicable standards. Promote safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services. Build positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, employees, and organizational leaders. Recruit, develop, evaluate, and support imaging department staff. Establish departmental goals and monitor progress toward operational and clinical objectives. Support workflow improvements, employee engagement, and patient-experience initiatives. Assist with imaging informatics, staffing, timekeeping, and electronic medical record processes. Encourage professional growth and continued education among team members. Education Requirement Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science or a related field of study is required. Experience Minimum of five years of experience as an Imaging Technologist is required. Previous supervisory, management, or departmental leadership experience is strongly preferred. Experience working in a hospital or large healthcare environment is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records, timekeeping platforms, and imaging informatics systems is preferred. License and Certifications Current professional certification in an applicable imaging specialty is required. Certification may include ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, or another recognized imaging credential relevant to the department. Must meet all applicable Ohio Department of Health licensing requirements. Additional leadership or specialty certifications are preferred. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging operations and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop clinical employees. Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills. Ability to promote a patient-centered and service-oriented culture. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with electronic medical records, imaging informatics, PACS, scheduling, and timekeeping systems. Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, employees, patients, and organizational leadership.
