Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered in an accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable manner. The primary focus will be on activities that directly impact customer service, serving employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff for efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Abide by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with all customers.
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Schedule

This position features a day rotational schedule with a 7 on/7 off format, working from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM for the first four days, followed by 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM for the last three days of the rotation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology.
• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered.
• ARRT(R) Certification.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Preferred: ARRT CT Registration.
