Schedule

PRN position with weekday coverage opportunities

Typical need is 2-3 weekdays per week

Minimum of two weekend days per month

Flexible scheduling based on departmental needs

What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions for patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, medical, and functional impairments.
• Treat patients across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy settings as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Promote safe mobility, functional independence, and successful discharge planning.
• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while supporting Vanderbilt Health's mission of excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Tennessee licensure.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Previous experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, orthopedics, or sports medicine preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
