Job Title Clinical Manager Location San Diego, California Employment Type Full-Time Salary $89,440-$93,600 annually About The Role The Clinical Manager is responsible for directly supervising clinical staff and overseeing services at a designated site to ensure mental health treatment is delivered in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment. This role includes oversight of individual and group counseling services, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations, and supporting recovery-oriented care for youth and families. The position is part of the Kickstart program, which focuses on early intervention and prevention of psychosis for individuals ages 10 to 25. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of clinical services within the clinic Consult regularly with leadership regarding program performance and needs Facilitate staff meetings and provide treatment team leadership Provide direct client care including individual, family, and group therapy, discharge planning, and communication with parents and referral sources Coordinate with external clinicians, medical director, and nursing staff on treatment and medication needs Complete and submit required reports including Quality Assurance documentation Conduct utilization reviews and ensure proper documentation for program clients Collaborate with Program Director on clinical program development and service delivery Audit client charts for compliance and accuracy in documentation Provide consultation and education to community organizations and agencies Participate in program development and support staff with complex cases and psychiatric emergencies Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries Support department budgeting and may assist in budget development Perform administrative duties aligned with program needs Attend staff and planning meetings as required Transport clients as needed using personal vehicle Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited institution Licensed LCSW, MFT, or Clinical Psychologist eligible to practice independently (two years post-licensure preferred) Minimum five years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, or mental health care At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience Experience in clinical care, case management, and group leadership Knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy; Short Doyle knowledge preferred Strong leadership, clinical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Intermediate computer proficiency Excellent organizational and time management skills Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and proof of education required Compensation & Benefits Paid vacation days (increase with tenure) Separate sick leave that rolls over annually Up to 10 paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance options DailyPay – access your earnings without waiting for payday Training, development, and continuing education opportunities 401(k) Employee Referral Bonus Program Bi-weekly pay Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Perks @ Clarvida – discounts on student loan refinancing, pet insurance, Verizon wireless, movies, hotels, concerts, and sporting events Mileage reimbursement Cellphone stipend Equal Opportunity Clarvida is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
