Security Engineer

Role: Security Engineer - Thales CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE)
Location: Remote
Experience: 10+ Years

Must Have Hands on Experience in Thales CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE)

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise security platforms.
Design and review secure system architectures aligned with industry best practices and internal policies.
Implement and manage security solutions across endpoint, network, cloud, and data protection layers.
Provide advanced (Tier 3) technical support for security-related issues and escalations.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve security incidents and anomalies with potential business impact.
Act as primary escalation point for complex customer and internal security issues.
Collaborate with customers, vendors, and third-party providers for troubleshooting and solution design.
Maintain accurate tracking of incidents using ticketing systems and provide timely updates.
Develop and maintain technical documentation (runbooks, SOPs, configuration standards).
Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards, and data privacy practices.
Continuously upgrade skills and maintain relevant security certifications.

5+ years in Security Engineering / Security Operations (Tier 3 or Senior level)

Thales CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE) - Linux & Windows
Microsoft Sentinel - Data connectors, analytics rules, workbooks, automation
KQL (Kusto Query Language) - Detection engineering, threat hunting
ThreatX - Web & API security, policy tuning
Cortex XDR - Endpoint protection & incident response
Palo Alto Networks Firewalls & Panorama

Cloud & Azure Security

Azure Security Stack:
- Azure Arc
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Azure Monitor
- Data Collection Rules (DCRs)

Operating Systems

Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) - Hardening & administration
Windows (10/11, Server) - Hardening & administration

Scripting & Automation

Python / PowerShell / Bash (security automation & configuration)
