Home Health Aide (HHA)

Attentive Care is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency dedicated to supporting clients in maintaining safety and independence at home. We deliver in-home nursing oversight and personalized caregiver services throughout Long Island, NY. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing compassionate, one-on-one care in their homes. Key responsibilities include: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Run errands and support clients with transportation as needed Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to nursing staff Support safe client transfers and mobility, including lifting and repositioning Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients Required Qualifications: Prior caregiving experience within the past 2 years under an active HHA certification at a licensed home care agency in New York State Ability to lift and transfer clients averaging 150 lbs, with or without assistance, on a frequent basis Ability to communicate effectively in English Must be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States Reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual language skills Residence within 25 miles of the job location Availability for live-in shifts Willingness to work weekend shifts We offer: Immediate Openings Paid Sick Leave Flexible Schedule Competitive salary starting at $19.56/hour Bonus Programs (including a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus and weekend bonuses) Health Benefits Available Paid In-Services (now available to complete online) Holiday/Vacation Pay
