Inventory Specialist

Inventory Specialist General job description The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining reliable inventory records for multiple product lines across various sales and operational systems. This role monitors and tracks incoming and outgoing merchandise, performs regular inventory audits, and reconciles discrepancies to ensure data accuracy across warehouse systems, and internal records. The Inventory Specialist serves within the operations team to manage stock levels, support timely order fulfillment, and assist with forecasting and replenishment needs. Duties and responsibilities Assist in releasing orders (in all divisions) through the WMS systems Prioritize replenishment of back-ordered items as needed Monitor and manage ASAP orders to ensure timely processing and release Verify inventory levels and make adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy (physical stock vs multi systems stock, ecommerce returns/damages, pre-booked goods, ecommerce returns during season switch over, wholesale discrepancies) Process inspections in KPI Review and resolve backorders in WMS and ERP systems to maintain accurate order status Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies caused by timing differences between systems, including oversold items Review inventory levels and adjust stock to support new e-commerce marketing campaigns Manage international shipments and ensure timely communication of tracking details Prepare and generate UPS shipping labels for samples, line sheets, and other miscellaneous items Provide backup support for e-commerce operations by releasing orders when the e-commerce specialist is unavailable Identify and resolve quantity discrepancies between WMS and ERP systems to ensure inventory accuracy Verify aisle locations of physical goods that are on hold to ensure proper storage and inventory accuracy Qualifications 3 years of inventory, operations, or warehouse experience; apparel experience preferred but not required. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with ERP and WMS systems (Deposco, RLM, or similar). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
