PackagerInnophos is seeking a Packager for our manufacturing plant located in Chicago Heights, IL. The right candidate will be responsible for the efficient operations of assigned area, including quality, safety, housekeeping, record keeping, environmental, etc.Key ResponsibilitiesObserves and operates all equipment and instrumentation, troubleshoots, adjusts equipment, cleans equipment, makes regular rounds, and records data on appropriate logs and sheetsProperly uses the JDE Enterprise 1 system to make appropriate transactions, product scans, and maintenance work ordersOperates the packaging systems including operating the packaging equipment, the delivery of correct bags, boxes, drums, Super Sacks, etc., to the staging areasOperates the packaging stations including the packaging hopper, and delivery of correctly filled bags, sacks, etc.Keeps areas cleanAssists in training other operatorsPerforms other work as assignedShiftRotating Shift – 1st shift (6:30 am-2:30 pm), 2nd shift (2:30 pm-10:30 pm), 3rd shift (10:30 pm-6:30 am) Monday - SundayInitially assigned to 1st shift for trainingA typical 4 week schedule may be:3rd Shift for 7 days with 2 days off following then, 2nd Shift for 7 days with 1 day off following then, 1st Shift for 7 days with 4 days off followingRequired to rotate between all 3 shifts – shift premium applied on 2nd and 3rd shiftsAlternative work schedules may be required based on site business needsEligible for overtime pay on hours worked that exceed 8/day and 40/weekBi-weekly paid on Friday'sBenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision benefits which start the 1st of the month after hireAnnual incentive bonus eligibility based on individual and company performanceTax advantaged health savings and spending accounts401k eligibility with company match and annual discretionary contributionTime off: vacation, holidays/floating holidays, personal and sick daysCompany provided Life and Disability InsurancePaid Parental LeaveFitness Membership Reimbursement ProgramEducational assistance programRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent2 years of related production operator experience in a manufacturing settingForklift experience preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust be capable of accurately completing reports and understanding written material, and performing basic mathematicsDemonstrates knowledge of process flow description (PFD), key process control points, process description, rounds sheets and data sheets, analytical specifications and control thereof, all relevant job analyses, and appropriate troubleshootingDemonstration of above knowledge includes written and oral testing, and actual operation of equipment, to meet minimum standards of acceptabilityAbility to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictionsEnvironmental and/or Physical RequirementsFrequent lifting (50 lbs)Constant standing, bending, operating mobile equipment (forklift)$31.05 - $31.05 an hour Wages start at $31.05/hour in accord with the labor contract.About InnophosInnophos is a leading international producer of specialty ingredient solutions that deliver far-reaching, versatile benefits for the food, health, nutrition and industrial markets.
