Senior Structural Engineer - Portland, OR -hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in heavy industrial structural engineering , particularly candidates coming from the semiconductor, pulp & paper, oil & gas, or related industrial sectors .

The role will focus primarily on heavy steel and concrete structures . Candidates with backgrounds primarily focused on timber or precast concrete are generally not aligned with the requirement.

• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes and standards, including:

  • IBC (International Building Code)

  • ASCE 7

  • ACI

  • AISC

• Proficiency with structural engineering analysis and design software .

• Experience with:

  • STAAD

  • RISA

  • CSI ETABS

  • Navisworks

  • Bluebeam

• Strong experience designing and analyzing:

  • Heavy steel structures

  • Concrete structures

  • Industrial structural systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering, or a Master's degree in Structural Engineering.

• Structural Engineer (SE) license .

• Experience designing structural systems for:

  • Semiconductor facilities

  • General industrial facilities

  • Pulp & paper facilities

  • Oil & gas facilities

  • Nuclear facilities - depending on project/work relevance

• Experience leading medium-sized engineering teams .
