Market Sales Manager – Wine (Off-Premise) Chicago, Illinois $90,000–$125,000 base salary, depending on experience + Bonus Bonus, benefits and travel package to be confirmed

This is a hands-on commercial position focused entirely on the off-premise market. The successful person will grow the brand across grocery chains, liquor retailers and other high-volume retail accounts throughout the Chicago market. We are looking for somebody who understands how to take a growing wine brand and turn new distribution into genuine sales. You will work closely with retail buyers, distributors and individual stores to secure listings, improve visibility and ensure that agreed activity is executed properly in market.

The Role Develop and grow relationships with grocery chains, liquor retailers and key regional accounts Win new listings, placements, displays and promotional opportunities Manage existing key accounts and identify further growth opportunities Work closely with distributor teams to improve distribution, availability and retail execution Conduct regular market visits and maintain strong store-level relationships Monitor sales performance, account activity, product velocity and competitor performance Support new product launches and wider market-expansion plans Ensure products are correctly positioned, priced, stocked and merchandised Provide accurate sales updates, forecasts and market feedback

The Person We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have: Strong wine-industry experience A successful background in off-premise sales Experience managing sizeable grocery, liquor or multi-site retail accounts Existing knowledge of the Chicago and wider Illinois market Strong relationships with retail buyers and distributor partners Evidence of growing revenue, distribution and account performance Experience representing an established or fast-growing wine brand The ability to operate independently in a hands-on, field-based environment

Experience working for a wine supplier, importer or major distributor would be highly relevant. WSET or equivalent wine qualifications are welcomed but not essential where strong commercial experience can be demonstrated.

This would suit an established Market Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Key Account Manager or experienced Area Manager who wants to help build a brand during an important stage of national growth.
