Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse position is available in a General Surgery department located in Reno, Nevada. This role involves providing patient care in a Level II Trauma Operating Room environment, requiring candidates to bring their Nevada State Registered Nurse license on the first day. The position emphasizes delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across a variety of complex surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Location: Reno, NV
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: 4x10's, Monday through Thursday, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
• Required Qualifications: Nevada State Registered Nurse (RN) license prior to start; 2 years of experience in Trauma OR setting; Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level II Trauma OR with high-acuity procedures such as neurosurgery, robotics, vascular, and general surgery
• Additional Information: The assigned unit is a Level II Trauma Operating Room with a patient population from neonates to geriatrics, performing procedures including trauma, neurosurgery, minimally invasive surgeries, urology, vascular, open heart, and pediatric cases. This position requires mental dexterity to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
