Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia following various surgical procedures. The role requires collaborative patient management within a Level II Trauma Center, following ASPAN standards, and accommodating pediatric through geriatric populations.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Education/Degree Requirements: Current RN license in good standing (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience preferred, with a minimum of 0 years required
• Location Requirements: Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice, with no local radius restrictions accepted
• Years of Experience: 1 year minimum; experience requirement: 0 years
• Schedule: 4x10 hour evening shifts from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Assigned unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Level 2 Trauma Center, handling adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
• Patient population: Pediatric (1 year+), adults, geriatrics
• Responsibilities include monitoring, assessments, pain management, medication administration, and patient discharge instructions following anesthesia recovery
• Certifications and skills required or preferred include those related to inpatient and outpatient care, dysrhythmia recognition, narcotics/opioid management, conscious sedation, and post-operative procedures
• Submission must include responses to whether the candidate has prior work experience at a Providence facility, including location and dates worked. Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNA) are required
