Portfolio Manager

Perform credit underwriting related to requests for renewals, modifications, changes in terms, credit reviews and reaffirmations for Business Banking and Small Business Banking credit portfolios Spread company financial statements and tax returns Analyze financial statements, personal financial statements, and performance metrics to explain variances, identify trends, and address appropriate credit strategy for credit risk Present solutions to credit structure, covenants, financial reporting requirements and other credit conditions to the Portfolio Manager Provide specialized risk guidance and advice on existing watch list credits across a multi-state geographical footprint Secure financial information and test covenant requirements Provide timely client follow up Ensure loan servicing actions, including past due payment collections, demand letters, lawsuits, and liquidations, are properly administered Perform site visits if needed Address complaints successfully Resolve documentation exceptions and covenant requirement violations Requirements Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related area with at least 6 hours of accounting 1+ year in Business Loan experience (up to $5MM) 1+ year credit analysis experience Demonstrates credit decision making skills and ability Demonstrates financial analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems by interpreting data and results Demonstrates excellent writing skills to create credit memos Demonstrates excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate with sales force and credit managers Demonstrates ability to work independently Demonstrates proficiency of Excel, and Word to create tables and worksheets for credit memos Previous Business Loan collections experience 2 years Business Loan credit underwriting SBA program knowledge Knowledge of Capital Stream, FIS/BIS Knowledge of SOP for SBA guaranteed loans An aptitude to think strategically and envision future state of the portfolio Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in credit underwriting, financial analysis, and risk management within Business Banking and Small Business Banking.
