KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Associate, Strategy, Working Capital for our Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

• Support working capital improvement and cash transformation engagements from assessment through implementation, helping companies achieve sustainable results
• Gather, validate and analyze financial, operational, ERP and transactional data to identify trends, root causes, risks and opportunities to improve liquidity, cash flow, working capital efficiency and operational performance across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, Treasury and Cash Flow Forecasting
• Participate in client interviews, workshops, process discovery sessions and internal working sessions; document insights, decisions, action items and follow-ups
• Build and maintain Excel-based analyses, working capital opportunity models, business cases, dashboards, reporting tools and other client deliverables that enable performance monitoring and decision-making
• Design and implement operational tools, processes and policies that improve working capital and cash performance and embed them into day-to-day client operations; support adoption and change management through training, playbooks, standard operating procedures, KPIs, governance routines, executive updates, recommendations and implementation roadmaps that drive sustained operational effectiveness
• Use GenAI and AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, analysis, workflow automation and deliverable development while scrutinizing outputs; assist with digital tools, analytical accelerators, automations and practice assets that enhance client impact; support go-to-market activities, including proposal development, thought leadership, qualifications materials and insights related to cash flow and working capital transformation

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date, or have completed in the past 12 months, a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a similar field from an accredited college or university
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above
• Strong quantitative thinking, structured analysis and business judgment, with a foundational understanding of financial statements, cash flow, working capital and core business processes
• Experience with data and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or Python to generate insights and support decision-making
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze information and develop clear, client-ready deliverables; working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot is beneficial; interest or experience in AI, automation, coding, low-code solutions, or AI agents that improve workflows and solve business problems
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, inclusive and fast-paced environments; exposure to process improvement, operational implementation, change management, workflow design, or stakeholder training is beneficial and related technology or process certifications are a plus; strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity
• Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership; work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; you must be located within the U.S. when working remotely; client site locations may require domestic or international travel and overnight/extended stay

California Salary Range: $90000 - $105000
