Sanitation Manager (Manufacturing)

Sanitation Manager Dessert Holdings is looking for a Sanitation Manager to join our team based in Aurora, CO . This position supervises, coordinates, and ensures that production equipment and environment are clean, sanitary and comply with FDA, SQF, and company policies and procedures. Provides leadership and management of all sanitation related services in a cost‑effective manner as well as continuous improvement projects. Documents all sanitation and pest‑control activities and follows up on corrective actions. This position is also responsible for understanding Quality Management Systems, employee, and environmental safety. Key Responsibilities Conducts routine inspections for cleanliness on process equipment and environment for compliance with FDA & SQF audit schemes. Generate written reports and formal communications to ensure that work requests are satisfactorily completed on time. Oversee, coordinate, and schedule all sanitation activities performed by the Sanitation workers. Create a work environment that reflects a commitment to protecting the health and safety of employees, food safety, and quality of products. Provide continuous improvement training for sanitation employees to achieve or maintain sanitation and company objectives, as well as employees' personal growth. Identify and recommend ideas for effective cleaning procedures, improving employee safety and enhancing food safety. Collaborate with other teams including maintenance, quality, production to troubleshoot issues. Resolve employee concerns and conflicts. Participate in both internal and external audits. Manage Sanitation chemical supply and inventory. Maintain proper documentation of sanitation programs including Pest Control, Daily Cleaning Checklist, Master Sanitation Schedule, Training Records, and Chemical Inventory etc. Monitors microbiological reports and verify whether cleaning procedures are being followed. Implements corrective action, as necessary. Exposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, chemicals). Working conditions; manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules approximately 100% of the time. Qualifications Proficient with SSOPs and 7 steps of sanitation. 5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment. 2 years of supervisory experience. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred. Proficient in GMPs, food safety and quality, Sanitary Design of equipment and production environment. Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Knowledge of CIP (Clean in Place) systems and cleaning verifications. Knowledge of COP (Clean Out of Place) tanks and cleaning verifications. Must have a flexible schedule including working overtime and weekends if necessary.
