Hospitalist physician job in Virginia : TeamHealth is seeking a full-time staff hospitalist to join our hospital medicine team at Wythe County Community Hospital in beautiful Wytheville, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys the variety and autonomy of practicing in a community hospital setting, while having the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team and access to a broad range of specialty services.Hospitalists at WCCH will enjoy a day shift, 7-on/7-off schedule and will have the opportunity work alongside one advanced practice clinician. Nights are covered by an in-house APC, so some light backup call is required. Additionally, hospitalists are required to monitor patients in the ICU and perform procedures like central line placement and intubation in emergencies.
