Job Description Job Summary: The Patient Care Associate provides vital support within the clinical care team, assisting with direct patient care activities to promote a patient-centered environment. - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, mobility, and toileting.
- Collect specimens, perform clinical procedures such as venipuncture and EKG, and support documentation of vital signs and intake/output.
- Perform scheduled patient rounding, ensuring comfort, safety, and pain management, while accurately documenting findings.
- Support dietary functions by delivering trays, assisting with menu selection, and reporting nutritional concerns to the care team.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by ensuring room readiness, removing trash, and assisting with equipment and supply needs.
- Monitor patients under close observation, including safety checks, elopement risk, and isolation status adherence.
- Successful completion of the Patient Care Associate Orientation Program.
- Healthcare experience of three to nine months preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate physical stamina and manual dexterity required for clinical tasks.
- Maintain current BLS or HeartSaver certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare team members and support diverse patient populations.
