Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a crucial role in our outpatient Endoscopy center. The successful candidate will be expected to work from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a requirement to stay until the room is completed, which may involve rotating late shifts. Weekends are not included in the schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with biopsies, including the use of balloon dilators.
• Support the closing procedures of the room at the end of the day.
• Conduct various endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and EGDs.
• Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
• Handle labeling and processing of microbiology and pathology specimens.
• Participate in the restocking of room supplies and managing supply room carts.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and universal procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient Endoscopy center experience is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is mandatory.
• Ability to utilize charting systems, specifically Epic.
• Must be capable of assisting with advanced endoscopic procedures, including stenting and foreign body removal.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols and high-level disinfection practices.

Work Environment

This position primarily involves working with adult and geriatric patients in a busy outpatient setting. The candidate should be adaptable in a dynamic work environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
