Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care during interventional radiology and other special procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes. Support procedural teams with pre- and post-procedure duties and maintain compliance with facility standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for IR and special procedures.
• Assist physicians and technical staff during procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
• Document procedure details, patient responses, and post-procedure care in electronic records.
• Ensure all certifications and licensure are current and comply with facility requirements.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with equipment setup and sterilization.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio license, with compact licenses accepted for starts 01/01/2023 and onward.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of related permanent experience in IR/Special Procedures.
• Active certifications with no pending issues, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• Successful completion of facility-required assessments with acceptable scores.
• Be nicotine-free within the required timeframe, as per facility exemption policies.
• Provide at least one supervisory or physician reference relevant to the specialty.
