Position Overview

Westchester Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely while making a significant impact on children's lives within our community health clinic setting in Colorado Springs, Colorado. With an annual salary range of $75,000 to $80,000, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive support and interventions to children with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will carry out a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify children’s developmental needs.
  • Participating in the crafting and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to individual child and family needs.
  • Monitoring and documenting outcomes as a collaborative team member focused on continuous improvement.
  • Providing parents and caregivers with relevant support, information, and resources to promote their child's development.
  • Utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to Natural Learning Environment practices to facilitate learning and growth.
  • Developing strong rapport with children and families, fostering a nurturing and trusting environment.
  • Utilizing a coaching model to empower parents in implementing strategies in natural settings.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations regarding mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on young children, especially those with disabilities or developmental delays. The social worker will work with infants and toddlers, guiding them towards essential developmental milestones in physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills during their crucial early years. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving their quality of life and future opportunities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work or a Doctorate in Social Work.
  • Licensure by the Department of Public Health (LCSW is required).
  • A valid driver's license to facilitate travel as needed for home visits or community outreach.
  • A minimum of one year of experience providing early intervention services to children.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to applying Natural Learning Environment Practices in child care.

Preferred Experience
