Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location

Hilo, HI

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Day or Night, TBD) | 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide med/surg level nursing care to patients 18 years of age and older
• Work rotating shifts of varying lengths across various days of the week; flexibility is required
• Utilize unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units as needed
• Adhere to professional nursing attire standards including closed-toe shoes
• Complete department-specific training and orientation during the first week of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg or higher level of care experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work varied shift lengths and days with no guaranteed hours or shift preference
• Must be flexible and available for both day and night shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience or familiarity with Meditech EMR systems
