Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs in a vibrant educational environment. This onsite role offers an engaging setting to cultivate positive experiences for students and collaborate with dedicated professionals. The assignment takes place over the academic year, giving you the chance to build rapport and make a genuine impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Current CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure required
- Experience working with mild to moderate special education caseloads preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with elementary school settings and developmentally appropriate practices
- Commitment to supporting inclusive and positive learning environments
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with mild/moderate disabilities within the elementary setting
- Consult and collaborate with general educators, school staff, and families to deliver integrated support
- Track student progress, maintain timely educational records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt teaching materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Foster a classroom climate that encourages engagement and respect
- Utilize evidence-based instructional practices to support each learner’s growth
