Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in North Bergen, New Jersey.

Location: North Bergen, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift: 36 hours per week, Day Shift, with every other weekend requirement and one winter holiday requirement.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patient needs and assisting physicians with patient care in a Medical-Surgical setting. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on the assessment of patients' needs and will provide patient-centric care in alignment with established nursing practices. Responsibilities include managing care for patients, initiating assessments, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, and advocating for evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with care.
• Plan and document nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through comprehensive assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care according to standards and support evidence-based practices.
• Advocate for quality patient care and innovative care delivery.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of recent strong Medical-Surgical experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• New Jersey RN License or multi-state compact license.
• BLS Certification (AHA).
• Telemetry Certification.
• NIHSS Certification.
• CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours).
