Med Surg Nurse ManagerAreas of Responsibility:Maintains nursing care standards and hospital policiesDevelops individualized care plans for patientsCollaborates with healthcare team for optimal patient outcomesEnsures accurate shift hand-off communicationCoordinates education and competency training for staffReviews and revises departmental policiesNursing Standards of Practice:Assesses and documents department competenciesLeads staff meetings and education sessionsCoordinates patient care with ancillary departmentsOversees patient admission, transfer, and dischargeCollaboration/Quality:Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for patient careEnsures compliance with facility policies and regulationsParticipates in committees and meetings for quality improvementEstablishes positive relationships with healthcare facilitiesPhysical Demands/Requirements:Ability to be mobile, communicate effectively, and lift/move objectsCertifications in Hip & Knee Replacement, Shoulder Surgery, and Spine SurgeryRequirements:Graduate of an accredited Nursing schoolCurrent RN license in MinnesotaPrevious experience in Med Surg nursingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBasic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, PALS certificationsSummary:Seeking a dedicated leader for the Med Surg Department.
