Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift, 3x12.0

This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts per week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining quality patient care by assuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes safety for both patients and staff, ensuring a secure environment through adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on education and care.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and start patient teaching in advance of discharge.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Assure personal and environmental safety in alignment with policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and support overall team dynamics.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed after the orientation period.
• Pursue professional growth and continuing education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
