Garfield County Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technician to join our team on a PRN basis! Under the general direction of the Imaging Department manager this position will prepare and perform standard x-ray examinations while using proper technique and positioning per provider orders. The technologist will also be responsible for preparing patients for exams, navigating medical records within our EHR, Athena, and notifying the manager of any equipment issues.Essential functions includeNavigating EHR system to schedule exams and access clinical information as neededUtilize system for radiologist interpretation of diagnostic imagingOperate machines according to established procedures and ensure patient safety and comfortAnswer patient questions and concerns as they relate to the examOperate within radiologic standards of care and follow ALARA imaging principlesDocumenting patient care records as outlined in policies and proceduresRequirementsThe successful candidate must have current ARRT Registration and WA Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Radiologic Technician (XT) credentials.Why Join GCHD?GCHD is a rural hospital located in Pomeroy Washington.
