Meter Technician

Overview The Meter Technician provides field support for Big Country Electric Cooperative's metering system, including the installation, maintenance, testing, programming, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial electric meters. This position supports AMI metering operations, assists with power quality monitoring, and works closely with members and cooperative personnel to ensure accurate and reliable metering services. Qualifications Knowledge of electrical metering systems. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely work around energized electrical equipment. Good communication skills and basic computer proficiency. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Valid driver's license. Successful completion of required physical examinations.
