Senior Planning / Scheduling Engineer
Our client, a leader in the industrial sector specializing in large-scale EPC projects, is seeking a Senior Planning / Scheduling Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Planning / Scheduling Engineer, you will be part of the project controls department supporting project management and execution teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA
Pay Range: $79
What's the Job?
- Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules to support EPC project execution.
- Collaborate with project teams to create detailed work plans for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and milestones, identifying schedule variances and risks.
- Analyze impacts of scope changes and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Prepare schedule reports and presentations to communicate project status and performance to stakeholders.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience working as a planning/scheduling engineer or project controls specialist in large, mega EPC projects within the oil and gas, petrochemicals, or industrial gases industries.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Proven expertise in project management principles, including schedule development, resource management, earned value management, and risk analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
