Patent Legal AssociateA Patent Legal Associate's job description involves supporting patent attorneys and agents by performing research, preparing legal documents, and managing deadlines related to patent applications and prosecution. They assist with tasks like prior art searches, drafting patent applications, and managing communications with clients and patent offices.Pay Rate: $185,000-245,000Remote OfficePositions are open across several prime locations, including Boston, East Brunswick, Hartford, Indianapolis, Miami, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Stamford, Trenton, Washington, DC, and Wilmington.Key Responsibilities:• Patent Preparation and Prosecution:o Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications with meticulous attention to detail and strategic insight.o Conduct patentability analyses and provide clear recommendations to clients.• Client Engagement:o Collaborate closely with clients to understand their technologies, goals, and business strategies.o Translate complex technical concepts into clear, enforceable patent claims.• Portfolio Management and Strategy:o Develop and implement intellectual property strategies tailored to each client's needs.o Manage and oversee clients' patent portfolios to ensure robust protection of their innovations.• Legal Support:o Provide support for IP-related litigation, due diligence, freedom-to-operate analysis, and opinion work as needed.Qualifications:• Experience:o 2–5 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, with a strong focus on mechanical, electrical, and/or software-related technologies.
