Office Manager & Executive Assistant ($130K–$140K)

About the Role

We're a well-funded, fast-growing startup that just moved into a new office and is scaling headcount significantly. We need someone who makes this place feel exceptional — for the team that works here every day and for every person who visits.

This role sits at the center of the business. You'll manage the physical space, run events, and work closely with our leadership team on logistics and scheduling. It's operational and interpersonal in equal measure.

What Good Looks Like Here

Every touchpoint — a candidate coming in for interviews, a dinner with a key customer, a team milestone — should feel thought through. You have an eye for what's missing before anyone else notices, and you'd rather quietly fix it than wait to be asked.

The Work

  • Make the office a place people genuinely want to come into: plan recurring events, themed lunches, seasonal moments, and the small rituals that build culture over time
  • Plan and run events end-to-end — investor and customer dinners, candidate days, off-sites, and celebrations — coordinating with the ops team but owning execution yourself
  • Greet and host every visitor — candidates, customers, investors, vendors — so they feel looked after from the moment they arrive
  • Keep daily operations running without friction: vendors, supplies, cleaning, repairs, IT, keycards, contracts
  • Support two senior leaders with scheduling, travel logistics, inbox management, and anything that keeps their attention on high-priority work
  • Handle ad hoc requests as they come up — errands, reservations, returns, and the miscellaneous things that would otherwise create noise

Standard hours are Monday–Friday. Occasional weekend events. Minimal travel. You'll be in close proximity to sensitive business and personal information — discretion is non-negotiable.

What We're Looking For

  • Background in high-end hospitality (hotels, restaurants, private clubs) or 3+ years as an EA/OM at a scaling company where you owned both the space and a real executive partnership
  • Instincts for what makes an experience feel deliberate — you notice the lighting, the temperature, the flowers, the timing
  • Calm under pressure, organized by default, and action-oriented when things shift
  • Someone who treats every person in the building like the most important one there
  • Trustworthy with confidential information across every dimension

How the Process Works

  1. Take-home exercise (2–4 hours) — A practical, focused task that reflects real work in this role
  2. In-depth conversation (45 minutes) — We go deep on your experience and how you think. No prep needed.
  3. Introductory call (20 minutes) — We share context on the company and hear about your background
  4. On-site day (half to full day) — Come in, walk through your project, meet the team, and work on something together
