Field Service Engineer II

Description The Field Service Engineer will manage, troubleshoot, and correct incidents and problems associated with customer site equipment, including national and international systems. This includes all associated edge/core site equipment and cabled infrastructures. Specific duties include the following: Providing support, as required to install, activate, and/or transition networking equipment such as network switches, routers, and encryption devices Assisting engineering staff members in design, fabrication, integration and testing of electronic circuits, cables, and mounting equipment in support of field upgrades and installations Performing on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of company products and equipment Providing technical support to customers and deployed teams on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment Developing SOVT test procedures, test plans, test reports, and procedures to maintain lab facilities and calibrate test equipment as needed, supporting engineering tests and detailed experimental testing Conducting site survey's and support the development of installation packages as needed in support of infrastructure upgrade efforts Installing, programing and troubleshooting Type 1 Bulk encryptors such as KG-175G's, Deltas and Alphas, Raytheon KG-345/350's Maintaining a valid passport and willing to do short duration travel for up to 50% of the entire year (nonconsecutive) #LI-LL1 Requirements 5 years experience integrating enterprise networks in DOD Facilities BICSI certification in relevant field Proficient in Outside/Inside Plant cable design, install and maintenance Desired Skills 5 years experience integrating enterprise networks in DOD Facilities BICSI certification in relevant field Proficient in Outside/Inside Plant cable design, install and maintenance Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
