The Clinical Nurse Manager Wound Care leads a comprehensive service that personalizes treatment for complex wounds, including diabetic wounds, pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, nonhealing surgical wounds, traumatic injuries, burns, osteomyelitis, radiation tissue damage, compromised grafts and flaps, and other chronic nonhealing conditions. Evidence-based modalities such as debridement, bioengineered tissue products, negative pressure wound therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, regenerative medicine, state-of-the-art topical therapies, targeted antibiotic therapy, and endovenous radiofrequency ablation are integrated to speed healing and reduce complications. The Wound Care Nurse Manager will coordinate closely with surgery, infectious disease, podiatry, rehabilitation, imaging, and case management to deliver whole person, complication free care.

Reporting to a nursing director, the Certified Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse collaborates with a diverse nursing team to champion high reliability care. Core responsibilities for the Clinical Nurse Manager Wound Care include team building and retention, equitable scheduling and staffing, purposeful rounding, regulatory readiness, and data-driven quality improvement. Daily operations overseen by the Clinical Nurse Manager Wound Care encompass patient flow, safety checks, equipment readiness, infection prevention, incident review, and rapid issue resolution. Coaching, competency validation, and staff recognition led by the Clinical Nurse Manager Wound Care reinforce a culture of open communication, inclusion, and high performance.
