Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a full-time Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for educators who possess a passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll provide tailored instruction to students with diverse needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with elementary-age students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication abilities with students, parents, and colleagues
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual needs
- Patience, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver engaging instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs and district guidelines
- Assess student progress, track goals, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and positive classroom environment
- Support students in building academic skills and social/emotional competencies
- Participate in professional development activities and ongoing training
Position Details:
- Full-time contract, 37.5 hours per week
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Start date: ASAP with position running through May 26th, 2027
- Elementary school environment dedicated to student growth and development
