Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Summary We are a regional litigation firm focused on insurance defense, coverage, no fault, fraud, SIU, general liability, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, and bad faith matters. Our attorneys represent insurance carriers and insured clients across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Job Title: Insurance Defense Associate Attorney Location: In‑office (New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania) Salary: $115,000 – $150,000 per year Hosted by: Luke Moussalli Key Responsibilities Handle insurance defense matters from intake through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and correspondence Manage written discovery and document review Attend court conferences, hearings, depositions, and mediations Work directly with insurance carriers, insured clients, opposing counsel, and experts Analyze liability, damages, and case strategy Prepare cases for settlement, arbitration, and trial Maintain strong communication with clients and internal team members Meet a 2,080 annual billable hour requirement Qualifications Juris Doctor and active bar admission in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania 2+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience required Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills Experience with discovery, motion practice, court appearances, and depositions preferred Ability to manage a busy caseload with strong attention to detailComfortable working in office Insurance defense, general liability, auto liability, or premises liability experience is a plus Benefits Competitive compensation package Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) plan Paid holidays Professional development support Bar dues and CLE support Supportive team environment with hands on litigation experience EEO Statement Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
