Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience Requirements

• Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Experience: 5+ years of quality engineering or quality management experience within an AS9100-certified aerospace CNC machining environment.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in GD&T (ASME Y14.5), reading complex engineering prints, and standard metrology tools.
• Familiarity with CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
• Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Manager.

Job Duties

• Maintain and improve the AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead AS9100, customer, FAA, and NADCAP audits
• Oversee First Article Inspections (AS9102) and inspection processes
• Manage CMM programs, metrology equipment, and calibration systems
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues
• Review NCRs, SCARs, and supplier quality performance
• Ensure material traceability, document control, and revision compliance
• Supervise and develop quality inspectors and quality engineers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and rework
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
