Business Analyst (Financial Sector)

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Financial Services team in Switzerland. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, technology teams, and senior management to analyze business requirements, optimize processes, and support strategic initiatives across banking, asset management, insurance, or financial services operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions in a highly regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across multiple business functions. Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for operational improvement and digital transformation. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for technology teams. Support system implementation, process enhancement, and regulatory change projects. Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements-gathering sessions. Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and root-cause analysis. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of business and technology initiatives. Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and validation of business solutions. Prepare reports, presentations, and business cases for senior management. Ensure compliance with Swiss and international financial regulations and internal governance standards. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline. 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, or financial services. Strong understanding of financial products, processes, and industry regulations. Experience in business process modeling and requirements management. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business analysis tools. Experience with SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within Swiss or European financial institutions. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FINMA, MiFID II, Basel III/IV, AML, or KYC requirements. Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PRINCE2, Scrum, or Agile certifications.
