Medication AdministratorAdministers medication to assigned residents according to professional standards, facility policy and physician orders, ensuringResponsibilities:The correct medication/dosage is given to the right resident, at the right time, and by the right routeThe medication is signed for as soon as it is passedThe response to medication is noted, reported, and chartedThe effectiveness of medication is noted and chartedThe medication cart is cleaned and stocked daily with paper suppliesMedication orders are picked up and medication is ordered from the pharmacy and delivered in a timely manner.Provides assistance to Meadowview Care Assistants as needed.Produces timely, accurate and legally compliant documentation of resident status, changes and observations in resident chart and communications bookProvides continual monitoring of residents' physical, social, and mental statusesPromptly reports variance or change in status to Residential Services Administrator and rest of care teamAssesses/reassesses residents' needs and recommends appropriate care, emphasizing resident preferences and habitsCompletes special projects/tasks in support of effective department functioning as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:HS Diploma/GED andcurrent NYS Med Tech Certification2 years of professional nursing experience is required, with preference given to those who have worked with Seniors and/or in an Assisted Living setting.
