Enjoy what you do – plan trips across the country and around the world! Travel Coordinator - Responsibilities (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Travel Coordinator will provide staff support for trip planning and creation of travel authorizations and vouchers using the US Government's official contractor travel site, Concur.
• The Coordinator will provide research for the most economical and efficient flight schedules, potential hotel options, the best car rental options, etc.
• Will share the findings with staff and allow them to make the final choice based on their needs and then the Coordinator will book the reservations using Concur, or for some situations, directly with the lodging establishment.
• Travel Coordinator may complete other tasks related to travel planning as well. Trip planning is complex and requires research and coordination with all involved in trips.
• The Coordinator shall provide all office space, equipment, personnel, and professional services required to provide the following:
• Outreach to staff for each planned trip to identify all travelers' needs and wishes. This may involve scheduling and participating in virtual meetings with travelers.
• Flight, lodging, and rental car research using Concur.
• Lodging research outside of Concur if traveling to areas that Concur does not serve or for special events where a room block may be set aside.
• Sharing results of research, including schedules, prices, restrictions, or any other pertinent information with staff for their review.
• Based on staff feedback, revise search or book travel for each participant.
• Pre-travel: Create travel authorizations for each traveler based on the group and the individual's unique situation.
• When needed, provide guidance on travel regulations.
• Research tax-exempt lodging situations for each state and provide travelers with needed forms.
• Post-travel: Create travel vouchers using provided receipts and information from each traveler on any plans that may have changes, unexpected taxes or fees charged, etc.
• Occasionally assist with arranging international, including coordinating with NPS international affairs office and helping to facilitate acquiring Official Passports.

Travel Coordinator - Requirements

• Familiarity with Concur (the US Government's official contractor travel site) is preferred, but not required.
