Snowflake Platform Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Snowflake Platform Engineer. This role is remote, but candidates located in the Denver/Colorado area preferred.

About the Role:
We're looking for a Snowflake Platform Engineer to join a team responsible for the infrastructure behind a large-scale data platform. This is a hands-on infrastructure role where you'll help support the systems that allow multiple teams and applications to securely move, manage, and access massive amounts of data. You'll spend much of your time working with Snowflake, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure, making sure the underlying platform is reliable, scalable, and accessible to the teams that depend on it.

What You'll Do:
* Snowflake Platform Engineer will manage and support Snowflake infrastructure across multiple teams and applications
* Manage Snowflake users, roles, warehouses, compute, connectivity, and access
* Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform/Infrastructure as Code
* Support the infrastructure and processes that move data into Snowflake
* Manage different layers of the data platform and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
* As a Snowflake Platform Engineer, you will work with applications and tools that support data movement and processing
* Partner with other technical teams, including data engineering and governance
* Help troubleshoot complex cloud and infrastructure issues in a large-scale data environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience managing Snowflake infrastructure
* Experience with Terraform/Infrastructure as Code
* Experience managing Snowflake environments, including users, roles, warehouses, compute, and connectivity
* Background in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of problems
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to dig into complex infrastructure issues

Nice to Have:
* Python scripting experience
* Streamlit experience
* Databricks experience
* AWS/cloud infrastructure experience
* Familiarity with data governance

You'll be working in a large-scale data environment with significant amounts of data and a variety of teams and applications. There's a strong focus on automation, infrastructure, and solving interesting technical problems. This team values self-starters who enjoy figuring things out, working independently, and taking ownership. Candidates coming from smaller companies or environments where they've had broad ownership of infrastructure are welcome.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
