Operations Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

Join our Used Barrel Division (Kentucky Bourbon Barrel South) and play a key role in managing the flow of barrels through our facility. This position combines logistics and production responsibilities, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and forklift operation. Successful candidates will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, operating equipment safely, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the production of high-quality refurbished bourbon barrels.

Reports to: KBBS Production Manager

Compensation: $20 to $24 an hour, based on skills and experience

Primary Responsibilities: Operations Specialist 

• Prepare customer orders for shipment (bill of lading, packing list, and manifest)
• Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
• Communicate with drivers and internal teams to ensure timely loading and scheduling changes
• Support production and quality goals (inventory and quality checks)
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Operations Specialist 

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
• Strong attendance, teamwork, and safety mindset
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Forklift experience preferred
